Carleton North Rural Community Project May 2018
Residents of the Carleton North High School Catchment are in the process of conducting a feasibility study to form a rural community.
The group has been able to determine a map, and as a result has been able to determine the population and tax base for the proposed area. There were a few areas that would leave a handful of houses alone in an LSD, so it made sense to include them in our Rural Community. Please see the Carleton North Rural Community Map on this page to zoom in for detailed property boundaries.
Gordon Roach has been hired as a consultant who will be working with the group to help determine if the Rural Community is viable.
The hope is to present to the Local Service Districts in the fall, followed by a decision late 2018 or in early spring of 2019 as to whether it should proceed.
